Alexey Kljatov - a Russian photographer has found a rather creative way of taking macro photographs of snowflakes. Macro photos are usually extreme close up photographs which tend to be of extremely small objects/items. The stunning photos show practically every detail and particle of a snowflake and each picture is completely unique to any other.
He came up with an inexpensive camera idea which consists of a board, a screw, some tape, a piece of glass and a $50 lens from an old Russian camera. From these materials he was able to create the stunning images. The camera setup includes a Canon Powershot A650 and 44M-5 Helios lens from an old Russian camera taped backwards to a board.
